You and your select junior and senior art students are invited to participate in Art Day at SFA on FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 2007. This event will consist of a full -length, college-level art studio class tailored to give your students a taste of college life as an art major at Stephen F. Austin State University.
We will offer courses in the following areas: Advertising Design, Cinematography, Ceramics, Digital Media, Drawing, Jewelry, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, Advanced Painting, and Advanced Figure Drawing.
Your students will spend the day learning technical and creative art strategies taught by experienced SFA art faculty. Your college-bound junior or senior will gain valuable hands-on experience leading to better informed college selection decisions. You have an opportunity to meet and speak with our faculty directly. Art Day at SFA will acquaint you with the excellent educational opportunities that exist in Nacogdoches.
Student selection for Art Day at SFA is at the discretion of your faculty and administration. However, we urge you to select only your most sincere and serious art students. Artistic ability and genuine interest should be of primary consideration. This year, we are offering a select number of courses at an advanced level.
Limit your attendees to five of the most qualified art students. All studio areas are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. If your faculty is unable to attend, students and their parents may participate, provided written permission is granted by the school and documentation is faxed to Art Day at SFA at (936) 468-4041.
Art Day at SFA begins promptly at 8 a.m. and ends at approximately 2 p.m. The $15 per student fee includes continental breakfast and lunch, as well as all art materials. |
