Artist Statement
I am always concerned about essence.  I take out the impurities; discover the crystal that becomes the core of my work. I try to sublimate my thought, emotion, feelings, and experience in art and express complicated things in a very simple way.

Teaching Philosophy
My approach to teaching is to discover the individual student’s strength and weakness in their practice. The students thus explore and investigate their personal art-making path with me acting as guide, counterweight and as a person who is constantly seeking ways to show them around their problems, while at the same time opening up an expansive horizon of possibilities. At the core of my approach to teaching is the desire to cultivate each person’s unique contribution to art making.
