2006 Art Educators RetreatJoin the Stephen F. Austin State University School of Art for a revitalizing four-day summer art retreat for community college, elementary, middle and high school art educators! Create art in studio workshops- Peels, Pours & Photo Transfers by Peter Andrew, Nature Speak with Aloma Marquis, Metalworking Magic by Lauren McAdams, and Drawing by James Snyder. Scott Robinson will speak on Why Are There So Many Naked People In Art? and The Flatland Factor: Landscape Interpretation.

Morning and afternoon sessions provide intensive personal and studio time. The retreat will culminate at the Musica Bella, a harmonization of artistic merriment and music with Mark Turner and Marsha Blount. There will be live music, wine, and hors d’oeuvres at this event on Wednesday, June 23, when participants’ artwork will be featured as the Art in the Pines exhibition in The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House in downtown Nacogdoches. The retreat will conclude on Thursday, June 25, with time for sharing, reflecting, and farewells.
