Creative Art Saturday is a modern-day visual arts program developed through the SFA School of Art to provide a quality enrichment experience for area children. The once-a-month, afternoon classes combine a unique mix of enjoyable art activities and educational projects and are taught by Dr. Marsha Blount and SFA art education majors. Classes include methods of creativity that incorporate a variety of approaches to the investigation, interpretation, and analysis of art. Within the year, projects will include drawing, painting, sculpture, textiles, book arts, still life, self-portraits, mixed media, and collage. A gallery walk and discussion of manners will be included. Parents are welcome! All materials, museum fees, and firing fees are included in the registration cost.
